What is Reiki?

Why do we feel better when we spend time at the beach, walk in the bush, meditate or gaze at a waterfall? Because we are naturally absorbing the energy readily available to us. Reiki is a more conscious form of using "the breath of life". It involves channeling that energy through the hands and into the body. It is a gentle technique that has its roots in Buddhism.

What can Reiki assist with?

Reiki works on many levels and can bring relief to a range of symptoms and deeper insights into why those symptoms have occurred. It may accelerate the ability to heal physical, mental, emotional and spiritual imbalances of the body, mind and spirit which can lead to dis-ease. It gives rise to the opportunity for personal growth, transformation and spiritual awakening. Reiki has been known to assist with: injuries; stress; anxiety; depression; pain; and illness.

What happens in a Reiki Session?

In a Reiki session you remain fully clothed and have the option of either lying down or sitting in a chair. Then over a 30 or 60 minute period, your practitioner, a Tibetan Usui Reiki Master, channels energy by placing their hands on or over various parts of the body. Everybody’s experience of Reiki is different. Some people experience a flowing or tingling sensation, some people sleep, others may find memories from the past arise and may feel emotional through the treatment. We always allow time and space for you to debrief after a treatment.

Note: This treatment can be done on our beautiful massage table or if more comfortable, in a seated position. Our general recommendation is a 60 minute treatment, however if you struggle to lay down a 30 minute seated session is beneficial.

AUSTRALIAN BUSH FLOWER ESSENCES

ABFE are a vibrational medicine similar to the Bach Flower Remedies, utilising the power of the Australian Bush. They address the issues of the 21st century - sexuality, communication skills and spirituality (to name but a few) and assist with the clarity, courage, strength and commitment to follow and pursue one's goals and dreams. They help to develop a higher level of intuition, self esteem, spirituality, creativity and fun. The effect of these Essences is similar to that of meditation in that they enable the person to access the wisdom of their Higher Self. This releases negative beliefs held in the subconscious mind and allows the positive virtues of the Higher Self - love, joy, faith, courage etc. to flood their being. At Essentially Aromatherapy we give you the option of selecting your own essences using our on site resources, or book in for a 30 minute flower essence consultation/reading where Suzanne will sit with you and undertake a detailed consultation and create your flower essence blend, or if you prefer, an intuitive flower reading using a combination of flower essence and tarot cards, resulting in your intuitive flower essence blend.

AROMATICA - AN AROMATHERAPY HEALING SESSION

Bathe your feet in an aromatic foot soak, close your eyes and inhale... intuit your essential blend from our synergistic fusions that harness the esoteric and energetic healing properties of essential oils to promote healing, treating ailments such as: poor concentration, low energy, self esteem, anxiety, overthinking, indecision, nervous tension, anger and depression. Your personal oil selection is then used in a traditional 1 hour aromatherapy massage that combines Swedish, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, shiatsu and polarity balancing techniques and provided in a 10ml aromatherapy product further enhanced with the energy of crystals for you to take home and continue the healing process.

Aromatherapy is a powerful tool that works equally if not better on the subtle, emotional, mental and spiritual levels as it does on the physical. When we identify this as our priority, we utilise different essential oil dilutions to those we use when working on a physical level and our massage will focus more on energetic healing moves. During an Aromatica treatment, you decide on your essential oil blend. The nose knows! Your 1 hour Aromatica massage is a gentle, light massage treatment that will include neck, back, glutes, lymphatic work— over the front and back of legs, feet, head, face, decolletage and stomach, with energetic moves the priority. Tibetan singing bowls, aura somas and other energetic systems may also be utilised during this treatment.
